Mario's Spectacular Spook

Somewhere, deep into the dark forests of the Mushroom Kingdom, once visited so often, lies an abandoned swamp in control of an unseen power, twisting everything to its liking. A distant cry for help, silenced by the plethora of trees, is finally heard. Mario has taken it upon himself to traverse deep into the swamp and rescue whoever might be inside.

Hello! This is my first ever ROM Hack, so I tried with what I could manage. I wanted to go a bit bigger than this but I ended up messing around with stuff I didn't understand which resulted in some peculiar bugs relating to audio and some visual bugs as well, so apologies in advance. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy this short, spooky hack for the Halloween season. :)
