King Whomp's 2D Curse

Made for the Simpleflips 2024 Slide Competition
Invited back to Peach's castle for cake, Mario quickly finds that he can no longer move north or south; it's as if he is stuck in 2D! King Whomp has take one of the castle's power stars, and is using it to entrap the entirety of the castle's residents with this curse. Can Mario break the curse and free the toads from Whomp's curse?
